Kathy Orellana

Kathy Orellana is a Senior Director of Public Affairs at RXN Group. She is a government relations veteran with 15 years of experience in public policy analysis, campaign management, and coalition building at the federal and state levels. Before joining RXN, Kathy was the Senior Regional Director of State Government Relations at the American Psychiatric Association (APA), where she oversaw state advocacy in 17 states. Prior to that role, she managed the APA’s public policy initiatives on Medicaid, substance use disorders, and minority health. She has previously worked as a consultant, supporting nonprofit and corporate clients through stakeholder engagement, advocacy training, legislative monitoring, and coalition management. Kathy began her career as a clerk at the Food and Drug Administration, where she planned regulatory meetings.
